Henry Turner

The volumes were possibly the work of Henry Turner (1734-1808), who presented the original book to the Library in 1786. Turner was born and went to school in Cambridge, before entering St John's College in 1752 (B.A., 1756; M.A., 1759; B.D., 1767), where he was a fellow, 1760-1772. He was ordained deacon in 1758, and priest in 1760. He was rector of Burwell and Landwade from 1772 to 1808. He died on 11 January 1808.
