Kane County. Development Dept.
County planning and development department begun in 1958.
Kane County had been paying a yearly fee to be included in the Chicago Planning Commission's plans, when the County Board of Supervisors set up a committee to develop an overall county plan in 1957. In 1958, this led to the establishment of a planning commission which became the development department.
