Buffalo (N.Y.). Park Commissioners. Secretary.
William F. Rogers, born in Pennsylvania, moved to Buffalo in 1846 and established the Buffalo Republic newspaper. He served with the 21st New York Volunteers during the Civil War, and was active in Buffalo public life, serving as the first president of the Board of Park Commissioners, and for many years as its secretary and treasurer.
