Johnson, Orson Bennet 1848-1917.
Orson Bennett "Bug" Johnson was born August 15, 1848, at Williston, Vermont.
He served as professor of natural science at the University of Washington from 1882 to 1892. He is considered to be one of the pioneering naturalists of the Pacific Northwest. In 1870 he married Miss Mary Purvis (1839-) at East Portland, Oregon.
