Schroeder, Ernest, 1890-1978.
Ernest Schroeder, the son of a German immigrant who established the family farm in 1878, began a substantial potato business that included the cultivation, marketing, and shipping of table stock, wash potatoes, seed potatoes, and later chipping potatoes. Schroeder was also influential in several organizations, including the Red River Valley Potato Shippers Association.
