Northern League of Professional Baseball
Variant namesNorthern League initially operated from 1902-1905; second Northern League formed in 1913 but ended in 1917 due to World War I; third group organized 1933 and operated every year, except the war years of 1943-1945, until 1971; fourth league established in 1992 and still exists. Comprised of teams from Sioux Falls, S.D., St. Paul, Minn., Eau Claire, Wis., and other cities in the Middle West and Canada.
