Nance, Richard E.

Richard E. Nance received his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1962 from North Carolina State College of Agriculture and Engineering (later North Carolina State University), followed by a Master of Science in 1964. Nance completed his Ph.D. at Purdue in 1968 and soon established himself as a founding leader in the field of computer simulation research. In addition, He has taught at Southern Methodist University and Virginia Tech, served as director of the Systems Research Center at Virginia Tech, conducted research for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, and participated in a variety of professional activities.
