United Daughters of the Confederacy. Turner Ashby Chapter, No. 162 (Harrisonburg, Va.)
The Turner Ashby Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy was chartered by about two dozen Harrisonburg ladies in the late 1890's. Most of their work has centered on educational and historical preservation efforts, including the erection of the Turner Ashby Monument, now located at the corner of Port Republic Road and Main Steet in Harrisonburg, Va.
