Whaling vessel, out of Fairhaven, Mass., mastered by Isaac Grinnell, on voyage from 3 Dec. 1855-29 May 1859 to the Falklands, Coast of Chile, Juan Fernández, Galapagos, On Shore, and Hawaiian Islands whaling grounds; owner-agent: Isaiah F. Terry; built at Gloucester, Mass., 1818; bought from Salem, Mass, 1841; whaling out of Fairhaven (1841-1871); sold temporarily to California (1848-1851); condemned at Faial, 1871.
