Sanders, John, 1810-1858

Native of Kentucky; graduate of West Point in 1834; spent entire career in the Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army. Stationed at Fort Delaware from 1847-1856 and from 1857 until his death in 1858 where he was in charge of the fort's construction.
