The Robert Wilson Personal Papers, 1891-1946, 2010, is arranged in two series: papers and photographs. The papers are arranged chronologically and include: Wilson's notebook from his 1891-1892 classes in pathology, chemistry, and hygiene; his 1892 diploma from the Medical College; the 1895 invitation to his marriage to Harriet Chisolm Cain, a copy of a 1897 petition from the Charleston County Health Department to appoint a county bacteriologist, which office Dr. Wilson filled until correspondence regarding his retirement from the Medical College, including his appointment to serve as professor of a medical history course; the resolution of the Medical College board of trustees written upon his death in 1946; correspondence with his son Robert Wilson Jr. about publications he authored; and a reminiscence about Wilson taking a student's blood pressure for what might be the first time in South Carolina. The photograph series includes a photocopy and dvd of a Wilson family scrapbook, provided by Robert Wilson of Rock Hill, S.C., and three photographs of Wilson.
