Rock Hall (Lawrence, N.Y.).

Rock Hall is a Georgian-style mansion built in 1767 by Josiah Martin. Thomas Hewlett bought the house in 1824; his descendants owned the house until 1948 when they gave it to the Town of Hempstead. Rock Hall is now run as a Hempstead Town Museum, administered by the Society for the Preservation of Long Island Antiquities.
