"Charles Norris enters private work" "The University of Oregon Medical School's first full-time photographer Charles F. Norris, 51, resigned this month to enter private business. An early pioneer in medical photography, 'Charlie' was well known by a host of faculty members and students at the UOMS since he first stepped on the campus in September 1931.... In 1940, Charlie married the former Thelma Lehman, secretary to Elnora Thompson.... For a number of years, the Norris' have conducted a limited retail nursery business in Portland, specializing in rhododendrons, azaleas, and native plants.
