Dallas AFL-CIO Council.
The Dallas AFL-CIO Council was formed in 1956 from the merger of the Dallas Central Labor Council which was affiliated with the American Federation of Labor and which was organized in 1910 and the Dallas Area CIO Council which was affiliated with the Congress of Industrial Organizations. One of the predecessors of the Dallas Central Labor Council was the Dallas Branch of the American Federation of Labor.
