Journalist and historian. Raised in Stockton (Calif.), daughter of Walter R. Henderson, D.D.S. Educated at Stanford University (1909-1914). Married aviator Charles McHenry Pond (1919) by whom had two children. Husband's father, Admiral Charles Fremont Pond, important officer in U.S. Pacific Fleet. Husband's mother a daughter of John McHenry, San Francisco attorney and friend of William Broderick (1850s). Husband's family related by marriage to California landscape painter, William Keith. Mrs. Pond formed intimate relationship with Mrs. Keith through sister-in-law, Elizabeth Keith Pond. Separated from husband, returned to Stockton, worked as publicist with Stockton Chamber of Commerce (1930-1935). Published many local history articles in regional press. Librarian in Stockton Public Schools (1935-1955). An heir of Elizabeth Keith Pond, she received papers and several paintings by William Keith from this source before her death (1962).
