Charles Tillinghast (1911-1998) was an airline executive for Trans World Airlines during the 1960s and 1970s. Born in Saxton's River, Vermont and educated at Brown University and Columbia University Law School, Tillinghast worked for Trans World Airlines for fifteen years, serving as President and Chief Executive Officer (1961-1969) and Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer (1969-1976). He was also an active member of Conquistadores del Cielo, a social club for aviation industry executives.
