Carter, Emma Martin.
Emma Martin was born in 1884 in Fort Worth. In 1905, she moved to San Antonio, marrying Claud Julian Carter (son of Edward Frank Carter and Alice B. Cleaves) in 1908. Emma and Claud had one son, Chauncey L. Carter, in 1909. Emma Martin Carter passed away in 1974.
Carter was a member of the State Association of Texas Pioneers, president of the Woman's Club of San Antonio as well as the founding president of Women's Democratic Club of Bexar County.
