Wells, Kenneth Dale, 1908-1998
Variant namesKenneth Dale Wells was born in 23 June 1908 in Akron, Ohio. He married Ruth Elizabeth Van Allen in 1930, and together they raised two children. Kenneth Wells was a businessman, industrialist, and one of the founders of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge. He and his wife were also well-known for their work with schools and orphanages in El Salvador. He died in Edgewater, Florida on 10 May 1998.

Kenneth Dale Wells, 1908-1998, founded the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge in 1949. He oversaw employer-employee relations for Union Oil from 1939 to 1949, served as chairman of the Freedoms Foundation and built its campus, and worked closely with its president, Dwight D. Eisenhower. He retired in 1970, but was a candidate for Congress 2 years later. After retirement, he and his wife, Ruth, established the Family Foundation of America, working with schools and orphanages in El Salvador.
