von Ruck, Karl
Karl (1849-1922) and Silvio (1874-1918) von Ruck conducted the Von Ruck Research Laboratory for Tuberculosis in Asheville, N.C. In 1913 they campaigned to have the Public Health Service verify what they maintained was a serum for tuberculosis. However, they balked at the prospect of independent investigation.
