Lyman, Mitchell Forrest

Mitchell Forrest Lyman (1918-2015) was a writer and award winning poet. Born in Farmers Fork, Richmond County, Va., she was the daughter of Ellsworth Forrest and Frances Meriwether Belfield Forrest. She was a 1938 graduate of Mary Washington College. In 1946 she married Dr. John Lyman, Captain USNR. Ms. Lyman lived in Chapel Hill, N.C. for many years before moving to
Charlotte, N.C.
