Arthur B. Eisenhower (1886-1958) was born in Hope, Kansas, to David Jacob Eisenhower and Ida Elizabeth Stover on November 11, 1886. He was the eldest brother of Dwight D. Eisenhower, who would later become the thirty-fourth president of the United States. Arthur B. Eisenhower did not complete his high school education in order to begin working at the Commerce Trust Company, a bank in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1905. By 1934, Eisenhower had become vice president of the bank. With his wife Louise, he had one daughter, Katherine.
