Boston College. Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees was established at the founding of Boston College in 1863 and for many years was the sole governing agency of the university. With the creation of a Board of Directors in 1968 the Board of Trustees retained certain responsibilities. In 1972 both bodies were consolidated into a Board of Trustees composed of Jesuits and laymen and women.
