Michael Phillips, "declared a Freeman in 1668", was born about 1646. He married Barbara and died before 1689. They had at least three sons: John, James, and Richard. Michael possibly had another son, Thomas Phillips of Newport, R.I. Upon Michael's death, Barbara married Edward Inman of Newport, R.I. Michael was an ancestor of Andrew Phillips who married Phebe Walling. Information on the Walling family is also included in this document.

Jeremiah Phillips lived in Smithfield, R.I., moved to Glocester, R.I. before 1748, and was admitted as a freeman in 1759. He married Martha Bishop in 1730 and they had six children: Andrew Phillips (1731 - ) who married Phebe Walling and lived in Glocester; Lydia Phillips (1734 - ); Mercy Phillips (1741 - ); Joshua Phillips (1744 - ); Adam Phillips (1746 - ) who married Mercy Barnes; and Ephraim Phillips (1751 - ) who married Jermima Jefferson.
Jeremiah's great grandson, Noah Phillips (1783 - 1822) lived in Abington, PA and was married to Rachel Dickson. Noah's brother, Rev. Oliver Phillips (1796 - 1876) also lived in Abington, PA.
