National Issues Convention.

The National Issues Convention, organized by James Fishkin, University of Texas government professor, was a new polling process in which 600 United States citizens participated in discussions and debate about national issues and were polled on their opinions both before and afterwards. A portion of the Convention was televised on the Public Broadcasting System.
