Film projects include The Big Broadcast (1938), No No Nanette (1940), This Thing Called Love (1941), and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947). Englund served as lead writer for Dr. Joyce Brothers' television series and contributed scripts to television programs including The Jackie Gleason Show, My Three Sons, That Girl, and The Loretta Young Show . He also served as president of the Writers Guild of America, West. Englund died on March 3, 1993.
