Murphy's New Zealand Expedition (1949)
Dr. and Mrs. Robert Cushman Murphy attended the Seventh Pacific Science Congress in New Zealand from Feb. 1 to mid-April 1949. While there Dr. Murphy returned to Pyramid Valley Swamp, North Canterbury where he had worked while on the American Museum of Natural History New Zealand Expedition, 1947-1948. The 1949 work in Pyramid Valley Swamp was shared with the Canterbury Museum. Dr. Murphy was assisted by Dr. R.A. Falla of the Dominican Museum.
