Gordon Saussy (1874-1952) was mayor of Savannah, Georgia, Ordinary of Chatham County, State port pioneer, and agriculturalist. He was the son of Robert Saussy and Gertrude L. Keller Saussy. He married Harriet Saussy Varnedoe and was step-father to Samuel Lamartine Varnedoe. Hattie Saussy (ca. 1891-1978) was the daughter of Joachim Radcliffe Saussy (1862-1904) and Rachel Louise Shivers Saussy. Hattie was a prominent artist and patron of the arts in Savannah, belonging to the Savannah Art Association and the Association of Georgia Artists.
