Auburn and Turner Railroad Company
The Auburn and Turner Railroad Company was granted a charter in 1903, and formally organized in 1904, with the first electric car coming into Turner, Me., in 1905, and operations commencing that same year. While freight service did well, passenger service did not, so that in 1907 the railroad was placed in the hands of receivers. The railroad was discontinued in 1928.
