London Grove Monthly Meeting (Society of Friends : Hicksite). Women's Meeting.
London Grove Monthly Meeting was established by Western Quarterly Meeting in 1792 out of New Garden Monthly Meeting. At the time of the Hicksite Separation of 1827, the monthly meeting split into Hicksite and Orthodox branches. London Grove Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) was discontinued in 1944, and its members were attached to New Garden Monthly Meeting (Orthodox) in West Grove, Pa. London Grove Monthly Meeting (Hicksite), which reunited with Philadelphia Yearly Meeting (Orthodox) in 1955, was the forerunner of the current monthly meeting.
