Cook, J. (John)
Variant namesJohn F. Cook of Hardwick, Vt., was commissioned sergeant of Co. I of the Third Vermont Regiment in June of 1862. He was subsequently promoted to 2nd lieutenant in Co. I, and then moved to Co. E. where he was named 1st lieutenant, and captain. He was commissioned major in October 1864. He was wounded in May 1864 and discharged April 8, 1865.
