Thomas H. Smith (THS) was an associate professor of history at Ohio University from 1967 to 1975. While in Athens, he was elected second ward councilman for the city of Athens for two terms and acted as field coordinator for John Glenn's 1974 senate campaign. THS has written three monographs on the history of Ohio: The Mapping of Ohio, Ohio in the American Revolution, and An Ohio Reader.
