Bird family.
Descendants of John Stiles Bird (1794-1887), who immigrated to Charleston, South Carolina from England in 1820. John Stiles Bird was a jeweller and silversmith and owned a store, John S. Bird & Co. Bird's children included William M. Bird and John Stiles (or Styles) Bird, Jr. (d.1906), who married Pattie Ann Coxe in 1879.
