Brown, Owen, 1830-1863.
Brown was the nephew of abolitionist John Brown. During the Civil War Owen Brown served with the 88th Illinois Regiment. He enlisted in August 1862, was ill during much of his service, and died in Nashville, Tenn. in February 1863. During this time, Brown's wife and children moved from Kinmundy, Marion County, Ill., back to the family home in Hudson, Ohio.
