Weigel, William, 1863-1936
William Weigel (b. Aug. 25, 1863, New Brunswick, N.J.-d. March 4, 1936), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1887 and served in the Indian wars, the Spanish-American War, and the Philippine Insurrection. During World War I, he served in key battles in France, 1918-1919, and received both American and French decorations for distinguished service. He retired in August 1927.
