Griffis, Julia Ellingson.
Julia Ellingson Griffis was born on October 20, 1882, in Reynolds, ND. She was the first white child born in the city of Reynolds. She had three brothers and two sisters. She attended high school in Reynolds, ND, and then worked in the mill. Julia moved to California in 1923 and worked as a nurse in the homes of elderly women. She lived in Long Beach, CA, until 1936 when she moved to Hollywood for one year. She lived the rest of her life in Lynwood, CA, until her death on March 31, 1941.
