Dott, Robert H. (Robert Henry), 1896-
Variant namesRobert H. Dott (1896-1988) was appointed executive director of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists in 1952. Prior to that he was associated with various petroleum companies as a geologist and was director of the Oklahoma Geological Survey from 1935 until 1952. Dott was the author, with Merrill J. Reynolds, of "Sourcebook for Petroleum Geology" (1969), and he assisted Edgar W. Owen in writing "Trek of the Oilfinders" (1975).
