Rudolf Frick (1939-2007) was known throughout the world as a leading publicist of the harp and founded the International Harp Centre.
Rudolf Frick was born on September 20, 1939, on Lake Constance in Switzerland. He later moved to Dornach, where he studied at Rudolf Steiner's Goetheanum and then worked as an economist, journalist, and a banker. In 1990, Rudolf founded the International Harp Centre in Dornach. He was a talented musician who played the harp, guitar, and violin. He was the publisher and editor-in-chief of Harpa Magazine, which published magazines quarterly in three different languages: English, German, and French. The main content of Harpa consisted of discussion, composition, structure, therapy, and literary uses of the harp. In 2003, the issues were published completely online for subscibers only, and in 2005, Harpa was publihsed fifteen times per year. In addition, he also owned Odilia Publishing, LTD. He was a busy man who had an extensive list of accomplishments. In addition to those previously mentioned, he was also the Vice-President of the Swiss Harp Association. He also created the International Erard Society and in 1994, organized the first Erard Congress at the Michaelstein Institute in Germany.
