Sherrerd family.
Family members include Peter Browne, a Philadelphia blacksmith, and William J. Browne, the father of Sarah Browne (d. 1844) and, possibly, Mary Browne (who lived at Charleston, South Carolina, during 1810). Sarah Browne married lawyer John M. Sherrerd (1794-1871) in 1818. This couple lived at Pleasant Valley, New Jersey, until removing in 1826 to Belvidere, the seat of newly erected Warren County. Their daughter, Sarah D. Sherrerd, married Philip Fine Brakeley (1818-1889), a Belvidere physician.
