Garden City Public Library (Garden City, N.Y.)
Variant namesGarden City originated as a planned community by Alexander T. Stewart on land he purchased in 1869. It was also home to Mitchel Field used by Charles Lindbergh and the first toll automobile parkway on Long Island, built by William K. Vanderbilt, Jr.
