Gregory, Matthew
Variant namesCivil War soldier, who served in Company G of the 83rd New York Regiment of Infantry. He mustered in May 27, 1861 as first sergeant and was promoted by election to the rank of 1st lieutenant, December 22, 1861. He was discharged from service July 21, 1862 and was later employed as a draftsman for the New York City Department of Public Works.
