Gostelowe, Jonathan, 1744-1795.
Gostelowe, an apprentice of George Claypoole, had set up a shop in Philadelphia by 1764. After serving in the Revolutionary War, he opened another establishment. He became one of Philadelphia's most respected craftsmen, leading the Gentlemen Cabinet and Chairmakers in the Grand Federal Procession of 1788. Advertisements indicate he sold his shop and retired in 1793.
