Neering, August.
Neering was a Michigan Conservation officer, specializing in fish. He was born in Mich. on Dec. 25, 1890 and died there in Oct. 1972. (Information from the Social Security Death Benefits.) He worked for the Dept. at least from 1938 to 1955. He patrolled all around the state from his home in Port Huron (Mich.).
