Trivette and Holshouser.
In the late 1920s and the 1930s, James Eubert Holshouser, Sr. and W.E. Comer were lawyers in Boone, North Carolina while Eugene Trivette was a lawyer in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina. In 1960, Holshouser and his son, James Eubert Holshouser, Jr., formed the law firm Holshouser and Holshouser. Holshouser, Jr. served as North Carolina's Republican governor from 1973 to 1977. Holsouser, Sr. became an U. S. District Attorney and a district court judge.
