Buddy Rex Daughtrey (b. 1921, Chaffee, Missouri-d. Aug. 1, 1993), U.S. Air Force officer, received his pilot wings and commission in 1943 and during the War served as a flying instructor, a B-17 bomber transition student officer, administrative officer, and a B-29 bomber pilot. He finished college in 1948 and throughout the 1950s was assigned to a number of administrative posts including adjutant of the 602nd Squadron in Germany and of the 113th Fighter Inceptor Wing and 4710th Defense Wing, executive officer and deputy commander of resources for the Air Research and Development Command in California. He later assumed duties as executive assistant to the Secretary of the Air Force, and in 1969 became commander, 6100th Support Wing, with headquarters in Japan. He retired in January 1971.
