Stokes, Desmond Branson, 1897-1978.
Born in Rangoon, Burma and died in Perth in 1978. Apprentice engineer until he joined the Burma Mechanical Transport Company in 1917. After the war, employed as a ship's engineer in the Merchant Navy, before moving to Western Australia.
