Broome, Alfred Charles, 1862-1954.
A. C. Broome came to the Bairnsdale area with his parents when he was five years old (in 1867) and remained there for the rest of his life. He was born at Bullarook, near Ballarat, in 1862. In addition to "Emerald Banks", he also had a property at Cann River. He died in Bairnsdale in 1954.
