The Walkers lived in Jamestown, Colo. George Walker was born 26 May 1839 in Ross County, Ohio. A Colorado pioneer, he lived in Ward and Jamestown, hauling lumber to Boulder to build many of the early homes. George Walker, who came to Colorado by covered wagon from Ohio and Iowa, died in Jamestown on 15 May 1929. Frank Walker was born 17 Dec. 1870 in Des Moines, Iowa, and died on 30 Oct. 1952. His wife Lillie Crayne Walker was born 28 Apr. 1873 and died 1 July 1967 in Washington state. George was married to Elizabeth Montgomery who died before he moved to Jamestown. Their children were William S., Minnie Jane, Norman C., Frank P. (Pett), Ella or Etta who married a Hagerman.

Andrew Walker (c.1756- ) was the son of Gideon Walker (1719- ), who came to Kennebunkport, Me., from Kittery, Me., in 1740. Andrew married Susannah Merrill ( - ) and established himself as a saddler and general store owner in Kennebunk, Me. Their son, Palmer (c.1796-1878) built a saddler's shop in Kennebunk in 1818. He was deacon and clerk of the Baptist Church for forty-four years.

Jamestown, Colo., a community on James (Jim) Creek, 13 miles northwest of Boulder, was a settlement called Elysian Park in 1865.
