Steely, Merle A.
Missionary; born Merle Ashel Steely in October, 1924; educated at Wheaton College (BA, 1950; MA, 1958); co-founder of radio station ELWA in Monrovia, Liberia, in 1954; worked as a missionary in Nigeria with Sudan Interior Mission (1958-1977) at its teachers' college, Bible college, and seminary, and government schools; married Vera Mae Thompson, 1948; had five children.
