Trinity Lutheran Church (Pullman, Wash.)

Hide Profile

Trinity Lutheran came into being as a result of the desire of the students from Washington State University to have a local ministry. Student work was begun in 1923 and continued until November 8, 1925 when Rev. Walter Hellman was installed as the first resident pastor to serve students. Trinity Lutheran was organized as a student congregation in 1926. The Spokane conference organized a building program for the congregation in 1928. To begin with the congregation worshipped in the White Owl dance hall, and the church was built in 1930. In 1966 the present facilities (sanctuary, education and office wing) were completed.
