Biographical Note: Eduard Reményi, an eminent violinist, was born in Hungary in 1828.
In 1854, Reményi became solo violinist to Queen Victoria and in 1860, he was appointed solo violinist to the Austrian Court. Reményi toured extensively giving concerts in Europe, North America, and the Far East. Reményi died while playing a concert in San Francisco in 1898.
